Using Paper Cores For Your Industrial Business

When it comes to industrial packaging, paper cores have emerged as a popular option in current times. These cardboard tubes have high strength to withstand external pressure and keep the products safe. They are ideal for storing, spinning, and closure for materials such as wood, plastic, and metal. The good thing about these cores is that you can customize their dimensions according to your requirements. Further, they are durable, lightweight, and cost-effective, making them an ideal packaging choice for different industries. Let us highlight the ways industrial businesses can use this alternative.

Tapes and film winding

If you manufacture self-adhesive tapes, the paper core is an excellent choice for packaging the end product. Its outer skin is polished so that the adhesive tape easily slides and rolls around it. Materials like plastic or epoxy are used for polishing the core’s surface for better usage and handling. The packaging alternative also works for winding up polyester films and audiotapes. These products slide over the surface just like adhesive tape.

Wool wrapping

Wool and fiber materials require the right kind of material for handling and transportation. These materials can be easily wound around a paper core to prevent tangling and preserve their integrity in transit. In this case, the paper core is given a rough exterior rather than a smooth polish. The purpose is to get a better grip for winding the wool or fiber around the core.

Storage of engineering goods

Small engineering goods and parts are to be packed in the right kind of material to keep them safe during storage and transportation. Thankfully, paper cores ensure safety to maintain the precision and balance of these goods and parts. Medium-sized cores are ideal for the purpose because they offer a snug fit for small parts to ensure these tiny parts do not move even during long-distance transit.

Jute winding

Jute winding is a complex process because of the nature of the fiber. The process requires the use of several paper cores attached parallel to each other. The purpose is to stretch the raw jute material while winding it to maintain its quality. Moreover, the core had to be constantly changed to ensure it does not lose its exterior roughness due to friction caused by the fiber.

Newspaper manufacturing and printing

Paper cores also find use in the manufacturing and printing process of newspapers. The process involves thinning of paper to separate them into sheets. Cores are set up at both ends of the manufacturing unit. They work together to break the paper and dry it by rolling around the cores. The exterior is roughened to get the desired effect by breaking the paper.

The demand for paper core in industrial settings is likely to grow because of extensive uses. It is not just a simple packaging material but also finds use in the winding and storage of industrial products. The good thing is that manufacturers can have custom options in length, thickness, and diameter of paper cores to match their products.
