HOW TO KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS COMINg back

Finding new customers is an expensive thing to have to do as a business owner. Of course, it’s also a necessary thing – your business is not going to grow and become successful if you don’t put money into this aspect of your marketing. However, if you can also ensure that your current customers keep coming back, you can guarantee there will be an income coming in, meaning you’ll have the money to market more widely. Not only that, but happy customers who want to return will tell others, and word of mouth advertising is effective and free, an ideal combination.

It's clear that ensuring your current customers come back to you and spend more money is important, and with that in mind, here are some ways to make that happen.

Make Your Marketing Relevant

You might think that marketing to people who have already experienced what you can do and who are happy to come back is a waste of time and money, but this is not the case at all. The fact is that if you continue to market to them, they won’t forget about you, which is vital. They might be extremely happy with the service and the products they got from you, but unless you continue to tell them through your marketing that you are there, they could easily forget – people are busy and time is short.

This means you need to ensure your marketing is relevant and includes your existing customers as well as searching out new ones. It’s hard to strike this balance, which is why it’s often wise to outsource this kind of work to a digital agency such as Klutch Studio. In this way, you are sure to get better results, and your money will be well spent.

Get Their Opinion

Asking for your customers’ opinions is not always easy; what if they don’t like you and tell you so when you ask? This would be extremely unpleasant and might even be discouraging.

As a business owner, you can’t think along these lines. If someone doesn’t like what you do, getting their feedback is important – you can find out what went wrong and, if necessary and possible – you can put measures in place to prevent it from happening again. As for the customers who are already loyal and return time after time, their feedback is crucial, too; you’ll be able to find out what definitely works within your business and ensure enough resources are going towards that. All in all, customer feedback, good or bad, is a vital step towards building your business.

When it comes to ensuring your customers return, the fact that they have been asked for their opinion and that changes have been made (assuming this is what you do) will stand you in good stead.

Giveaways

Although you should never give away more than you can afford, and you’ll need to consider each free gift carefully in terms of how much profit you’re losing by offering them, giving things away to your customers is a great idea.

When you give something to your customers, you will show them that you can go above and beyond and do more for them than anyone else. Knowing that they can get free things will entice many people to actually spend more with you (and to spread the word about your business), and that will make up for any money you’re losing.
