Adding the Canadian Palladium Maple Leaf Coins to Your Portfolio

In most cases, when you buy coins, no matter which country you reside in, the manufacturers, who are commonly the local mint, will include them as part of a series, comprising of other types of coins, named accordingly.in this article, we discuss one of the newest forms of these relating to the popular Maple Leaf bullion series which is minted in Canada and sold to investors.

No matter what your reasons are for investing, one of the best things you can do besides diversifying your portfolio is adding coins into it, and in particular, these Canadian Palladium Maple Leaf Coins which, over the last few years has become sought after and popular of the series and for good reason.
Also referred to as the Palladium Maple Leaf’s, these are considered the only legal tenders issued by the government, throughout the world. The idea was originally introduced in 2005 and since then their designs and values have changed over time. Back then there were only just over 40,000 produced for the public but as the years went by, they were fashioned even less until eventually in 2007 the production of these coins stopped. Making them now a precious and rare commodity for anyone to have.

What is Palladium

Some would say, this raw material is even more precious than Gold. In this article, they explain how the price of this metal has soared a significant 25% over just a few weeks, making this n incredibly expensive and yet a valuable raw metal to be found. As a shiny white metal, it can be mistaken for silver but is far from it in value and weight and is mined in either South Africa or Russia. It is similar to Platinum.

It has commercial uses for things such as catalytic converters on hybrid vehicles and also helps to translate harmful gases such as nitrogen dioxide into a less harmful gas, turning it into water vapor instead. Recently the demand for this metal has outweighed the supply, which as by the law of investment, usually results in an asset becoming even more valuable.

In the year 2017, sales of these precious metal units soared to over 8.80 million. Largely due to a demand in the automotive, Jewelry and investment arenas.  The price of it reached $2,900.00+ per ounce. Now you may understand why the Canadian Maple Leaf Palladium Coin has become so popular amongst investors and institutions.

What Makes it so Unique

Besides the fact that this has now been added to the list of the world’s most rarest metals on the market, the palladium coins can also be placed into any other investment account, such as a bar of gold or metal personal IRA: https://www.metal-res.com/gold-ira/canadian-palladium-maple-leaf-coins/ this has been one of the top ways people choose to invest in their commodities and one such as the ‘precious metal IRA’ is the best kind to diversify with this valuable addition.
The minimum for this type of account is to invest at least $5000 worth of approved metals. Because this one, in particular, is already worth 50 Canadian dollars in its face value, you could buy a few every time up to the required amount, alongside other metals like Gold and Silver.
What to Look for When Buying the Coin

There are a few things you should consider when looking to buy these coins, for instance, the design and specifications of the series coins.
Picture
The Design of The Piece
The typical design would include an image of Queen Elizabeth II, which was originally rendered by famous Canadian portrait artist, Susanna Blunt. The queen's profile appears on all the coins and is the most depicted in comparison to the figures on any other coin in the world.
Below the interpretation of the image is the value of the coin, for example, $50, coupled with a date of the royal mint and bearing the trademark of a superior print.
They would usually be made in measurements ranging between 33mm by 3.58mm in thickness. The maple leaf is printed on the other side of the coin and the number 9995, to represent the purity of the palladium i.e. 99.95% or 100%.

The Weight specifications

Unlike any other types of coins, these, in particular, have been created to represent only one type of weight denomination, namely - 1 troy ounce. If you are a first-time investor, starting with this option will yield you tremendous benefits.

In comparison to gold and silver, these are usually included in the selection of an affordable type of investment, and when supply for it falls short and demand for them keep rising, the more value they will hold for an investor or a collector. These can then be sold in the next 5 to 10 years, traded for other resources or handed down from generation to generation.

There are many different advantages to adding these types of assets to your portfolio and unlike cash, which gets affected by inflation and may wither over time, precious metals typically stay the same unaltered.

Checking the prices on the stock markets or in stores online and in your local area is one of the best ways to know when to purchase them so you can make the best out of them without having to spend too much at the wrong time.

Always make sure you are buying from a reputable source and it is an authentic and pure coin.
