5 Tips for Superstar Social Media Marketing

As you may know, social media network marketing is a must for any business, and it's only becoming more and more important in our social media, tech-driven world.

If you're trying to up your social media marketing game in order to meet your companies goals and improve outreach and profits, keep reading for some tips that can seriously help. 

1. Make Sure You're Using the Right Platforms 

Putting hard work into your social media account is pointless if you don't know who your audience is. If you don't know who your audience is, you can't best reach them. 

This mostly comes in handy when trying to figure out which social media platforms are going to be most important for your company to use. You want to make the most of your time, and that means disregarding the platforms your audience is not using. 
Figuring out where your audience is spending time on social media may take some research. If you don't already know your audience's preferred platform, conduct a survey, where you can ask your customers where they are spending the most time. Incentivize them to take the survey with discounts, gift cards, or raffles. The payoff will be worth it! 

The platforms you use to market your company will also differ depending on what your company is. If you have a retail store, image-based platforms like Instagram will probably be the best way to showcase your clothing. If you have an online service, such as advice on SEO for wineries, Twitter and YouTube may be more appropriate, as you can give text and video-driven advice. 

Knowing what platforms are going to work best for your company based on what your customer is using as well as what will best showcase your product is a great way to increase audience members and therefore, profits. 

2. Plan Your Content Wisely

High-quality content is a must for a successful social media account, and that takes planning. If you can't manage an account on your own and have the funds to hire someone, hire a social media manager who has experience in the field. This can take the stress off your plate, and will also allow your social media presence to be in the hands of a professional who has the time to provide quality content. 
If your planning to take this task on, consider a social media app or site that can help you plan your social out in bulk. Many of these apps can post along multiple platforms simultaneously and automatically so that your not constantly posting on your phone all day, or possibly forgetting to. 

When choosing what kind of content to post, high gloss furniture. While you want to market your product, social media is a place that's meant to be, well, social. While posting marketing content is important every so often, you also want to post things that relate to your customers or bring them into your world, building trust.

Planning and posting good content means you should know your audience and your brand. Being consistent and on-brand with what you post will make sure that your content becomes recognizable and familiar to your audience. Your feed should be a combination of relatable, entertaining, informative, and promotional content. 

3. Engage With Your Audience

Merely creating and posting content is not enough. Engagement is necessary to make sure you interacting with your audience. Social media is a way for people to socialize with one other, so if you're not communicating actively with your audience, they will easily forget you.

If customers ask questions or leave comments on your post, make sure to respond to them promptly, and the same goes for direct messages. This shows your audience that you value customer care, making it more likely for them to make a purchase with you.
Custom company hashtags are a great way to spread communication. Come up with a catchy hashtag, and encourage your audience to tag you when they post anything about your brand. This is also a great way to grab more audience members. 

4. Work With Others

Working with others, such as influences or other businesses can be a great way to grow your followers. 
Working with an influencer can be a great way to reach a whole new audience. Influencers tend to have a large audience, and proficient social media marketing skills that can help you gain followers and sell your product.

Find an influencer who is either already a part of your audience, or is on-brand with your company. Consider giving them a discount code that they can share with their followers, which will convince them to make a purchase with you.

Partner with other businesses on marketing ideas such as social giveaways is another way to grow audiences. Consider a collaboration that makes sense to your brand and would appeal to your customer for the best results. 

5. Track What's Working as Well as What's Not

​Social media marketing can be a lot of work, but without tracking your progress and growth, you won't know what is and isn't working.

Take time out of every month to sit down and evaluate your growth in terms of followers, likes, and engagement, and see if it lines up with higher profits for your company. Having these monthly reflections can help you adjust and adapt where needed.
