2020 Marketing Trends to Keep on Your Rada

2020 is up on us, and as a marketer or business owner, you need to know what's new in marketing. Here are the 2020 marketing trends to watch.

You likely won't get very far as a business owner without focusing on marketing. This is especially true when trying to grow your online presence.

In fact, digital marketing often gets the largest portion of a company's marketing budget. This isn't to say, though, that other marketing methods can't be significantly beneficial.

Above all else, it's important to understand the current marketing trends before you go and spend money on it.

Not sure where to start? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about 2020 marketing trends.

Experiential Marketing

While this concept has existed for years, it's recently seen a spike in popularity.

Since such heavy emphasis is placed on targeting customers online, many consumers have become unfamiliar with the idea of experiencing marketing in-person.

This isn't the same thing as walking past a bus stop advertisement, though. Experiential marketing refers to the immersion that people experience through the marketing effort.

Common examples include things like test drives, invite-only networking events, etc.

But, augmented reality (AR) has begun to gain traction with both marketers and consumers. It's now a very real possibility that potential customers can 'experience' the product and its usefulness through AR, creating a unique blend of digital and experiential marketing.

A Rise in Ethical Practices

Sustainability and the preservation of the environment are two marketing footholds you'll see companies using in 2020. This is a good thing, though, as it will essentially force other businesses to do the same over time.

Since all businesses should be acting ethically regardless, pressure will be placed on those that aren't publicizing their journey to better the world around them.

As time goes on, it'll be the norm for entire campaigns to be centered around helping the environment and those in need.

Emphasizing Customer Satisfaction (Even if They Don't Make a Purchase)

It's time to discard strategies that involve maximizing conversions while sacrificing consumer disposition.

When people need assistance from your customer support, they don't want to be redirected to someone who will try and sell them a solution to their problem. They want an answer to their question.

But, this doesn't mean that you can't provide additional offers. After you've helped your customers reach their goal (whatever that may be), you have the opportunity to provide them with information about your products or services.

You can also go the extra mile after you've made a sale in order to increase your buyer's satisfaction. Things like free shipping, free installation, etc. can go a long way when creating the best customer experience possible.

Preparing For 2020 Marketing Trends Can Seem Difficult

But it doesn’t have to be.

With the above information about 2020 marketing trends in mind, you’ll be well on your way to ensuring not a single dollar is wasted when you promote your business.

From here, you can focus on scaling and reaching numbers you never thought possible.
